Yugo has dragon's blood running through his veins, which explains a lot of his combat prowess and why he was revered as such a great warrior, as the Eliatrope dragons (save Baltazaar, who was extremely old and past his prime) are shown to be immensely powerful and able to deal out and withstand CRAZY amounts of punishment.
